you can get some spray paint that will make it dark but still will let the light come through.... and it does look pretty good. go with a deep dark red and just paint the whole damn thing...

My mom's friend has a dodge ram truck, and her lights are covered black. I dont know for sure, but I think its like some kind of cover she bought that is black goes right over them but yet you can still see her lights and all. she has them on the front and everything. Looks good on her truck.

Blacked out looks better than white out IMO. But I also like as much light to get through as possible.

It looks ok for a show vehicle, but not on a street vehicle. That is, unless you want your nice 240 to get rear ended. You want those lights to be seen by the drivers behind you especially at night. Florida is full of cars with heavy which tint which makes those lights even harder to see. Tint the windows not the lights.

If you want the actual tail light spray:

Nite Shade Spray Tint - $9.99 per can

Mid America Designs Inc. This is a Corvette/Porsche/New Beetle parts catalog

Part Number - 100-592

1-800-500-VETT (8388)------------------------------------------

I don't have any first hand accounts of the product, but, here is how they describe it in the catalog:

Nite Shade Spray TintCustomized is Just a Spray Away With Nite Shade!Give your Corvette the "Stealth fighter" look with Nite Shade Spray Tint. Simply spray the lenses you wish to tint, then adjust the depth of tint with additional coats of spray. Light will pass through, so signals function as normal. One can will do several cars. Usage subject to individual state regulations. 7 oz. Must ship ground service.

There you go,-Dave
