That is just crazy! A friend here in the office said they had that car on the Discovery Channel going through sand.

is it just me or do those treads seems to be pretty tame? i mean, traction-wise, even a mild offroad tires would pwn them. silly ppl with money. they should have done that mod home depot style. some pvc pipe rollers, triple ply duct tape for strength AND sticky traction!-Enzo

yup, it's a streetable version of the old monster truck idea of putting tank treads on normal trucks, they've had them since the 80's or longer I think.

Tracks are actually quasi-popular up here in snowmobile country. You don't actually see them that often but thats because most people don't hang out in the deep woods... where the track vehicles can be found.

I like the off road-tracks that the thing has, besides that, H2 is a huge, soccer mom, I will never see dirt, they had to slaughter dozens of cows to upolster me, waste of alloy. It takes more sheet metal to fabricate the hood of that H2, than it takes to stamp out the entire 240sx body.

theres something like that at the local glorified ski hill, its pretty much a gas powered golf cart with tracks and a roll bar, its pretty cool and they actually use it the right way.
