Ok people im new so gimme a lil break.... What needs to be done to internals???

Ok here we go.... I just bought a 93 240sx for $900 its a 5 speed manual. I wanted a hatchback but we dont always get what we want for $900. I really want to turbo this ka. This is my second 240 and i have a passion for these cars. Im not very mechanically inclined and i dont have much money to work with. Im trying to do all the necessary upgrades to the internals and other parts in sequence. I would really like to upgrade non internal parts first so that i can still drive it and save money for each additional upgrade till i get to the internals. Where should i start? and what steps should i take after the first install? and so on an so forth...... In other words what parts will i need to get 230whp on a ka24de motor and in what order should i do these installs? (internals being the last upgrade before the turbo install.) Also what needs to be done to internals? Any help would be much appreciated.

First off, you need basic maintenance. Old cars need love, fix the problem areas before you start upgrading. Then search Nico for upgrade options, plenty of good tips on the forums.

I'd say save your money for step one. 230 hp on an N/A is not cheap. most of that will come from internals. port & polish the head. cams. High comp. pistons... on & on. LOL then when you've done all of this you'll come to find out that none of what you've done to your 230 hp N/A motor will be boost happy.do all the free mods. anything that deals with the air box. hot wire the coil & fuel pump. then spend money. full tune up. wide band with a A/F controller of your liken'. But most important use the search botton, like was said up top and like everyone will tell you. read for a long time
