ok sorry about asking another question but I was thinking, the ebay cf cooling panel looks like it would work better then the ARC tit. one cause it's bigger, it covers all of the area. but I'm not sure, I need one cause I have a air flow issue, my koyo aluminum radiator isn't getting enough air and I'm over heating so(also have a 12 inch fan) I was going to get the dule FAL fan and block off all the areas around my radiator so hopefully it will be cooler!.....so you see i need one that's going to work not just look good, what do you guys think , would the carbon fiber ebay one work better?(it does cover the entire space!)

Wow! When my buddy wrecked his S13, he gave me his cooling panel for FREE. Didn't think they were THAT expensive!

i've read acouple of threads up that they really are a functional mod & not just for looks. (along w/ the plastic/cardboard under-the-engine-bay cooling panel).

soo, it's mainly up to u to pick out what u want... i'm going for this one:

i would just spray paint it, give it some texture, save the money for some part i really WOULD need, hundred is not much for a panel, but its still too much when u can get similar results with zero investment... thank you ricebike,

i think it does some ****; lookit the link on this thread (that's where i got the pic from)

zerothread?id=131276

also, i've seen something similar-- from the factory-- a cheapo plastic piece sandwiched between the front bumper & the radiator support on a POS 97 chevy cavalier ( i was doing a coolant flush job on my lil sis' car). Mebbe other models have this as well, but can't think of them right now.

Get a better fan setup.I'm using a stock R32 radiator with dual FAL 12 inchers, no special shrouding, hell--the radiator doesn't even sit flush with the radiator support-- and I *never* overheat.I also run an RB20 which runs alot hotter than the KA or SR and living in Hawaii, everyday is like atleast 90ish and even stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic, my temp gauge is rock solid smack dab in the middle even with stock thermostat.

These cooling panels are supposed to be used with a hinge jack. Either put washers under your hood hinges and get larger screws or get hinges from a car that works with your bolt pattern and make the hood sit higher.

This will vent the whole engine bay rather than have all the heat trapped under your hood.

There used to be lots of stuff about this in the archives.

well I have the RB25 and I have the Koyo aluminum radiator and a 14 inch fan but it still over heats so I'm going to get the FAL settup and the top and bottom cooling panels!!

FYI I propped the back of my hood up with spacers and found a 8 degree F drop in coolant temps according to my temp gauge.
