If I can put in my 2 cents, a 270/272 duration with a slightly higher lift than stock which is like 8.8 if I remember correctly. I have a 256/264 8.8/8.8 combo and thats very mild mannered.

Whats the highest you can go on stock valvetrain?

272 intake with 9.7mm of lift, 272 exhaust with 10.0mm of lift should work with stock pistons and valvetrain.

Also, what kind of turbo do you have, as obviously that should have a huge impact on what you choose. If you have a t28 or smaller, I wouldnt go bigger than 264 with slightly increased lift.

Also, if you find a shop that does it, you should let us know, and ill pick up some stock cams for a regrind.

264's will up your peak probably 800rpm.

I think if Dee knows a place, lets get a bunch of them to do if the price isnt crazy. Id like a another 264 exhaust cam with slightly more lift than stock.

If you guys want cams done which are the same cams that are in Overboosted180's car, let me know. If I can get a gang of you guys to jump in on this, I can get a deep discount and you guys will get some wonderful camshafts that will work great with your stock valve train. I don't have the specs in front of me, but I know I had the cams ground as close to 270 degree and 9mm lift as possible without needing to upgrade springs. The result was a damn near perfect cam for street and strip duty that offered excellent idle, excellent driveability, sweet mid-range power, and great top end till 8000rpm with useable power thereafter. In the very near future, we'll be taking his car to the dyno as well as my sentra (when I find the time to finish it) and I will definitely post results and video of how his car performed. His goal is 450whp, but I'm looking for more.

You guys can ask around and see who might be interested. These are cams that I've used in the past and have yielded excellent results. I recommend them because they are inexpensive and are proven and will definitely suit most of you guys' needs.

Right at or $400! The more, the merrier, the cheaper. If not, I'll look out for those who are not afraid to fork out the cash to better their peformance.

Hey Id be interested in going on a group buy.

What you mentioned, "close to 270 degree and 9mm lift as possible without needing to upgrade springs. The result was a damn near perfect cam for street and strip duty that offered excellent idle, excellent driveability, sweet mid-range power, and great top end till 8000rpm with useable power thereafter." sounded pretty good for what i would be after. This way i really wouldnt have to mess around with the drivetrain too much too early.

Cores? Good you mentioned that because that all depends on how many people jump in on this. Obviously redoing your cores is the cheaper route, but if I'm not mistaken, there are billets pieces available, but the cost is extra. I recommend stripping your cores off your engine or scavenge them out of your garage or storage place if you have them or prepare for a week or two of down time and those without cores will receive their cams back the fastest.

Create a post how you want it to read, i'll edit and sticky it. I have my reasons why I wouldn't personally make the offer, but if you can gather up enough members who don't mind forking-out around $400 for a set of cams, then you'll be there good graces and I'll be the liason. So go for it, dude and rest assured, I got your back by providing whatever information these cats need.

Sign me up for some, I have the cash right now and I am trying to finish this car up before xmas. I will more than likely be running a gt3071r (.64) so I would love some cams. Does anyone think that a 270/272 combo with an 8.8 lift be a bit aggressive for the street... I initially thought about a straight 264 cam setup up but it seems like it may be a little mild for my intended setup and would get better use out of larger cams. Im aiming for about 300-350ish with some cushion. The car will see some track time but it is my daily driver so I would still like comfort and ease of driving, well as much as you can get out of a 300hp rwd 1.8l.

Rich, you know where to find me and you know I'll tighten you up. If you don't want to wait for everyone else, let me know and I'll see can I get this going for you.
