I never formally introduced myself to anyone here except the other mods.

I'm Devin. I am the mod for the Altima/Bluebird/Stanza forum and I am one of NICOs online mechanics.

I was asked to become a mod shortly after joining because I work for a Nissan dealer as a line tech. I do any and all kinds of car work, just not body work. I started in the auto buiness in 1997 as a tire buster for Dunn Tire. Shortly after I was hired by a Toyota dealer as their quick lube guy. I then went to Toyota T-Ten school for 2 years as well as worked for Toyota as a PT line tech. Shortly after graduating I was offered a full time position with the Toyota dealer as their PDI/UCI/Line tech. I did a lil bit of everything. During that time I rebuilt 3 Nissan motors out of my basement, a GA16DE, a NAPS-Z24 and a L16.

I then left toyota in 1999 in favor of working at a guitar shop. That didn't go very well so I moved on and worked for a Volvo dealer for a time as a parts counter person. I then got a call from a Nissan dealer service manager who remembered me from the toyota days. He told me he was opening a new position on the Nissan tech line and thought of me first to fill the position. I gladly accepted the job. I have been with Nissan since May of 2002. Though my time at Nissan may not be long I have been doing shade tree mechanic work on Nissans since 1993.

That's a lil bit about my background. These are some of the titles I hold under my belt.

ASE certifiedNY State InspectorMAST certified(Michelin, Tiger Paw, Uniroyal)1997ASE Refridgerant LicenseToyota Technician all areasToyota Pro Technician in Electrical, Suspension, Drivability and NVH

I drive a 97 Nissan altima that is being converted into an AUS spec Bluebird(sorry no SR20det for me, maybe a KA24DET though, I need more money). I have done a few intresting mods but most of the big mods are coming in april.

Well, that's all I can think of at this moment. Glad to meet all of you.

Well Rev, you've got established credentials... nice work!:)

It is good to have you around!

I have no professional mechanical experience and I am a total back-yard mechanic... I seem to have pretty good luck though... usually it is because of people like you that talk me out of the messes I get into! Thanks!
