but i cant fund the answer to my question, am i not looking hard enough.. it seems like a pretty general question....

i want to go with 17 inch rims on my 91 240, i want to go as wide as possible in front, and match that width at the back (so i dont have to buy new rear tires all the time) what is the widest tire that can fit in a 240sx wheelwell? oh BTW i have Tein Type HE's on my 240 if that makes any difference. please help!

you can run as wide a wheel as you want if you reduce the offset enough.

It depends from setup to setup. Different type tires have different section widths, wheels might have different lip widths, your suspension might have very aggressive negative camber, etc..

Your best bet to to measure out what will fit on your car.. or, I suppose, talk with someone running the same hardware as you, and find what could work..

I wouldn't doubt 17x9 is physically possible in the front of the 240.. it would just require extremely funny camber from the camber plates, which could just as soon negate the advantages of having wide wheels to begin with

17x9 is fully possible. And rather easy with the correct offset.17x10 fit in the rear if the car isn't lowered.
