as you all know from my previous post... i need this opinion.. One person i know told me to get a whole new shell. Another one said to just replace my radiator support and just do a little welding on the underbody but the rust isnt THAT bad.. keep in mind a jackstand punched through the weakest point but i dont think i shoulda ever put a jackstand there.... So what should i do? work with it or not? i really do wanna work with my current 240.. heres some pics

Thats the ground not rust before you die lol

as you can see i have a mountain of stuff to work with.. keep in mind that a lot of bolts and other things were missing and in a lot of cases only one bolt was holding some things in on this car... so im gonna have to replace A LOT of bolts for sure.... but the car does have its plusses.. the interior is pretty good (well not when i have a lot of crap in it but you know). And it does have aftermarket exhaust and shifter LOL..... anyways.. thanks guys... you see how hard it is to do this swap on a basketball court? all my bolts are inside a fishbowl! lol

if you have access to a welder, cut out most of the rust and weld in some plate steel, then por15 over it and inside. and never i repeat never jack these cars up or support them on stands by the frame rails!!! always use the pinch welds!!!

shells out here in the midwest are very hard to find without bad rust, even cars that look rust free usually are hiding that rust behind underbody coating or paint. mines bad but you cant really see it. its been showing it self lately after thousand miles on coilovers. im just going to go over the chassis with a welder and steel, should be alright once im done this winter.

If you are good with metal work and welding, I would say go ahead and fix it, it doesn't look that bad, just fix the frame , but first inspect the rear sub frame, aparently they usually rust pretty bad back there, then make a call whether to go ahead and fix it.

Good luck,Rafi PULSAR GTR
