i have a rb20det , stock turbo died , I just bought a replacement a hks gt2510 I know its a small turbo but i dont have any huge hp goals im mind(and its straight bolt on turbo ) , personally I was content with the stock turbo . but a little upgrade never hurt anyone

my question is with this turbo can i run stock injectors or are bigger injectors needed

and if i can run stock injectors will i still get a increase in hp

I don't know what hp level you are expecting from your new turbo, but....

The stock injectors are only 270cc. They should get you a bit more hp than stock, but they are pretty high on their duty cycle at that point.

I would strongly recommend getting a set of RB26dett injectors. They are 440cc and will easily and safely handle as much hp as you desire to push through the engine with that new turbo. You can get a set of 440's for less than $200 bucks. Well worth IMO.

I have heard that the stock injectors are good to around 300hp. If you are using your stock actuator on that turbo you should be fine. I would get it checked on a dyno for a/f ratio though just to be safe.

Im putting a hks gt2530 on my rb20 using stock actuator. I may have the ecu knock the timing back if it thinks it is sucking in too much air. If that happens, then its a good excuse for me to get a power fc. I plan on checking this on a dyno.
