ok so here is the story i was in the middle of a drift and my car cut completely off. so i didnt think much of it but when i go to start the car back up nothing at all not even trying to turn over. it doesnt have any power to anything except for the lights. but no power to the ignition at all. i turn the key on and nothing. so i check all my fuses to the kick panel and there isnt a problem and i dnt belive that any of those would matter anyways. so the next thing i check is the fuse box under the hood and the engine control fuse is getting no power, but everything else is. so i check my relays and as far as i can see they are good. now here is something interesting i check the ignition fuse and when i turn the car to the on postion nothing happens like usual lol. but i wiggle the battery terminal and it blows the fuse and that is while the car is in the on postion. the after it blew i made it get connection and my egi relay starts buzzing. please someone let me know anything that could possible help O AND I ALSO CHECKED MY CONSTANT POWER FOR THE IGNITION SWITCH AND THERE IS CONSTANT POWER WHEN THE CAR IS OFF BUT AS SOON AS I TURN IT TO THE ON POSTION IT GOES DOWN TO LIKE 4. SOMETHING. any help will be greatly apperciated!!!!

If you want help type so we can understand you. Check your batter terminals. Even if they look good put a wrench on there and check if its tight.

Is your car lowered? Aftermarket wheels? If so, did you relocate your wiring harness? I'm willing to bet if you have new wheels and are lowered that your tire rubbed against the harness and shorted some wires out. That would explain the instant blowing of fuses.

Either way, there is a short SOMEWHERE. You also need to clean and tighten your battery terminals if you need to shake them to get a good connection.

ok well to the first reply sorry i dont understand what u mean by type better but i have because like i said it was in the middle of a drift and that was the first time it has every happend.

and for the second reply it is lowerd but no aftermarket wheels and i have already checked for any splits in the wires under the fender. ive been hearing that it is more than likely a short in some wire but i dnt really know how to check what wire it would be.

i already have but im not very knowlegdable about wiring so it doesnt work out so well. ive found spots that doesnt have constant power but i dont know how to correct that. its very sad. im think about just taking it to nissan have them diagnose the problem and then i will just fix it from there

drivers side front quarter panel...unbolt and take a look at the wiring harness..common problem on lowered 240s...if anything trace back, seperate, solder + shrink wrap and re-route it so it doesnt hang inside the wheel well

like i said in a previous post there is nothing wrong with that part of the wiring there isnt even a tear in the stock harness around there.

Wiring takes a lot of time so its a lot better to do it yourself compared paying somebody to. It'll turn into a money pit. Get a wiring diagram and see what goes where. Then start tracing wires. You said when you turn the key on the volts drop from 12 to 4, that's a big indicator there's a load on the system that shouldn't be there. Would I would personally do is pull out all the fuses and relays and only leave in the necessary ignition relays and fuses. If one fuse blows or a relay isn't activating, trace all the wires from the fuse or relay. Then go down the line until everything is fixed.
