Well I'm tired of the ghetto set up that came with the car, after continously blowing cheap clamps, melting crap hoses, and just looking in awe at the junk that's on it for so long, I'd like to buy a nice complete kit.

Seems like E-bay kits are recommended for the price and actual good use.

Only problem is all I seem to run into are kits for the SR20DET, or 'universal' ones with like 8-12 pipes.

I have a KA24DE, and a hole already cut into my battery tray. The inlet/outlet of my intercooler is 3".

So would the 3" universal kit work? or would I just end up trying to piece together a nightmare?

you can try the universal kit, theres a good chance you can wiggle it into all the places you need it, you might need to end up getting a few extra pieces bent to meet your compressor out since the KA-T isn't standard.

OR the best way you can go about it is to take off your front bumper and measure out what you need and order your pipe individually by bends and lengths from JC whitney or another site that sells mandrel bent exhaust pipe (it's not going to be shiney and crome). A good way to go about mocking up new pipe is to cut 3 inch strips of cardboard and tape them together following your path. Buy good quality Silicone couplings and T clamps (they look like these http://www.sourceautomotive.bi...p.jpg) That way they wont cut into your nice new silicone couplings and you won't have to worry about your pipes blowing off.

alright thanks, the kit comes with all those t-clamps and good silicone, so that's cool.

I'll look into prices with ordering it from JC Whitney and all that too

Universal kits do work. I used one for a while, the problem I had with them though is that the pipes would blow off everynow and then. Your going to have to cut and fit them. After you do that if you get a good thick bead welded on you should be good.

Universal kits, welded. U get exactly what you want from them, so take off your bumper measure, Measure...MEASURE then cut to make it fit, them have the pieces welded. Just my personal suggestion.

hmm that doesn't sound bad, just buy the universal kit and make marks where to cut and weld what for cold/hot side and cut it down to only 2 pieces instead of 12 with tons of silicone hoses and clamps.

I got my IC kit off of ebay for $200 shipped and the quality is unbelievable. True stainless steel and the welds are prefect. comes with real silicone couplings and high quality t-clamps. I don't think he sells on ebay anymore, his ebayid was ssautochrome.

I think its because he started his own site http://www.ssautochrome.com/

but it looks like he doubled his prices. He doesnt sell ka-t IC's but the sr an ca kits just take a little bit of modification.

you must of missed the few words before that, clearly stating 'if there were a way to make air able to be seen'

If you use clear plastic tubing you could install an LED and have the entire piping kit light up...kinda cool.

Also if the pipes blow off, just use a little hairspray on the couplers.
