ok guys i need some help please

ok have been fighting this ca for sometime now.and need to get it going.

with everything hooked up the way it is suposed to be it want sit there and run and you can rev it with out it running like **** and spitting and dyeing.but with the maf unpluged it will set there and run great until you try to rev it up.i really need some help guys.im really getting tired of messing with it.if i cant get it running soon im just going to sell it.but i would like to get it running i like the ca alot.so if you can help please do so.

i have the z32 maf from a 300zx.but i also have a rb20 maf too.it does the same with either one.

i know your supposed to tune your car to run with those mafs if you could either get a safc you can probably tune it to run with it . if not then just visit the junkyard and pick up an sohc maf from a ka24 e

i got one of those and my motor runs great . quick question what fan do you have on your ca motor im trying to use my ac fan but i cant get it to kick on you have any suggestions ??

I'm having the same problem I'm using the Z32 MAF, SAFC II, and Walbro pump. I've replaced the ignitor, and have been going through my harness to make sure everything is where it is supposed to be. If the wiring is correct, it may be the ECU. That's what I'm checking next. We may have to send the ECU to get flashed for the setup.Also, my butterflies were stuck closed. I broke them free and lubed them up, now they work fine.Good Luck!

He mentioned using a Z32 MAF w/ SAFC II. But if the ECU is bad or there is a bad wiring connection, the SAFC won't do anything.

oh ok i know what capwred is experiencing with his when i had the dohc hooked up to my motor it would idle fine when i rev boom fuel cut at 3000 rpm without the maf hooked up idle is the same rev it it sputters .. does any one on here know how to wire up the ac fan to work

did you even read the ? i asked.it is tuned to run the set up i have.by the safc 2 that i said i have.and 240sxbobbies thanks for the info but if have a ? that you needs to be ask please dont highjack this post.

i got a 16 inch fan from the auto parts store.

already checked the wiring for the car.

Possibly a bad ECU or Crank Angle Sensor. Did you have a chance to see if the timing was right when the car ran decent?

i can check it when the maf is unpluged but dont know if it would be correct.

i know that the timing belt is right.

now I am no expert by any means, I am running a N60 MAF (maxima) and had to set my SAFC to HW4(RB20) in HW7(CA) out, that seemed to clear it up for me

you are correct that is the setting for that maf and the setting for the z32 is 2in 7 out.

but i have done all of that and still does the samething.

oh ok , well I just throwing that out, I think I rember seeing the SEnsor Cal.(Ithink ) for the Z32 was 1 - 1 or maybe 1- 1/2 I have mine at 2 - add and will idle and rev but my new leaky injector is making it run badly. hope you figure it out soon, sorry I wasn't much help

thanks for the info.you never now what might work.going to try out my z32 maf on a ka thats running one tomorrow to make sure its still good.i double checked the safc 2 wiring tonight and it was fine.so i dont know.going to check for codes tomorrow also.
