OK guys let me know what you think. I was sitting here thinking of whre I could put a Nav Screen, then I thought about it. Removing the Rearview mirror (not sure if that's legal) and getting rid of the fold down rearview mirror flap. Putting the screen there, adding a Camera to the back window area about where the rear cell antenna is (hopfully giving me approx the same view) Adding a DVD player, as I do drive a lot and spend time in my car, and having the ability to switch from rearview camera to nav system. I was told this could be done, but That was at a little shop in Lawton Oklahoma. Anyone have any Ideas?

Unless the traffic gendarmes are more tolerant in OK, not sure the wide view would give you enough detail in rear view on screen. Probably useless with a low sun behind you anyway.

I think there are some double DIN units with retractable screens available if you wanted to replace your whole stereo system.

Great idea! I've been doing that for quite awhile. ;) I got a 5.6" LCD screen replacing the rearview mirror right now hooked up to a DVD/MP3 player, but I shall soon be replacing it with a 10" LCD screen and the DVD/MP3 player will make way for an all new computer system. With the computer system I can hook up little USB web cams to my car and make little videos as I drive around. Nifty huh? :D

FWIW:It's illegal in most states to have a live video display in clear view by the driver. You may want to check that requirement. I know it's not pursued very often, but no need to give them a reason to write you up. And also consider that placing it up there could put it in your head in an accident.

Does anyone else have any ideas as to where to put it. I wouldn't dare think of destroying my dash for it. I thought about the armrest area and that just didn't seem like a good idea. Thanks for the Heads up Jberger. Being that I am moving back to CA, they just might harassme to no end.

Well if your not a smoker you could relocate the A/C controls to the ash tray area...get an aftermarket CD player and mount it where the A/C controls were and then install and LCD screen where the stock bose stereo was. Switcho-changeo-rearangeo! You have a nifty install that doesn't require you removing your rear-view mirror. :D

These solutions are available domestically (USA) also. Not cheap, though.
