ok folks settle down......don't get a fit (literally)

if all of you are using this forum for positive insight, like say, jumping ship, then don't. impulsive thinking is a daily human trait, the honda fit is a great car if you have 20 k to spend. cmon folks, that's not sensible. there are alot of great things about the versa one being that it's a nissan ok. if you buy a honda you are thought as being part of the green earth initiative, serious. i saw a guy buying one when i picked up my versa and thought to go over and tell him his mancard just got dinged. if you are a chick and wanna look cute get a fit. remember that the stereo is nonupgradeable. the back seats are for munchkins and the interior quality doesn't match nissan versas quality. plus you are spending on average 3-4 grand more. when is an economy car not an economy car. my feeling is when it gets close to 20k. get a mazda 5 for 20k and you can load your house in it and still be stylish. seats 6. out.

Heh heh, just yesterday after I got home from work I went to take my dog out and noticed a guy looking in my windows of my V. I went over to him with my big black lab and asked what he was doing. He said he just bought a Fit the day before (parked next to me) and then saw my V. I showed him around it and let him sit inside. He said he was having huge buyers remorse now and wished he had looked at the V. He paid $3k more than me and didn't get nearly the gadgets I have.

LOL, the look on his face after getting out of mine. He just looked at his car and almost looked like he was pouting.

It's whatever, I think highly of anyone that buys a car for efficiency and purpose over form. I usually approach someone I see with an econo car (fits included) and we talk about what we like and what we don't like. It's nice seeing people with eco friendly cars, it's the SUV's and large sedan's I don't understand. Also, why can't you upgrade the stereo? Do you mean there isn't a premium stereo option from honda? I don't think my old civic had a stereo option. Honestly I think the upgraded stereo I got with my V is pretty horrible and am looking forward to my tax return so I can take it to the shop and have a nice system installed.I just don't think there's a reason to start a rivalry type situation with another car just because it's in the same market share as us. Remember, we're supposed to be the smart ones, let the H2 owners fight the Navigator owners. I'll cruise around with a Fit owner any day.

its not even like that... its all in fun... and i think that problem with the stereo mite be the same issue they with an accord, if you remove the stock radio your a/c doesnt work... they ended up coming out with a harness for it... something along those lines.... dont quote me on that though, im a happy nissan owner! i dont know too much about honda...

Dude, you can't upgrade the stereo because you can't REMOVE the stereo. Its an integrated design. Integrated stereos, as was just recently discussed on this forum, are one of the worst inventions since the electric neck-tie carousel. It would be bad enough if it wasn't fugly, but it is.

...or all in all dumber...this will only hurt those looking for an eco-friendly vehicle that they can stuff with a nice head unit, amp and some nice speakers....if anything this will deter those who consider this car...honda ftl

About the stereo, that does suck!! Guarantee there will be an aftermarket dash kit for the Fit.. It's going to be a huge *** replacement panel, but I don't think it would stop many people that really want to replace their stereos... It wouldn't stop me... You know there will be plenty of options, it's a Honda....
