Also, I had spoken to the previous owner about the vehicle and he said that his daughter drove to the university and thats that and that he never had any problems with it and did only oil changes on time.
I was a little pissed off... But I had the vehicle cheked out at firestone and everything seemed fine. The only thing they told me, and I was there looking at the undercarriage too, ws that the front wheel bearings would need replacement in the near future. Thats wear and tear and I was ok with that. There was oil(not flowing or leaking but seeping) at the rear main seal and they said this is very common for a high mileage vehicle and nothign to worry about.
Other than that no other known problems. Tomorrow they are gonna change the timing belt and water pump. Anything that you guys recommend that I get done while they are at it?
I believe a maintenance is due at 105k miles such as plugs, wires, fuilds, filters etc. I was contemplating doing that myself to save the money but the guy at firestone suggested that I get it done at the INFINIT delearship so that in case the part goes bad, 'THEY WILL COVER IT"!! Is that correct?
I mean if I get the transmission fluid changed and it goes bad, they will repair or replace the transmission or something assuming I have all the maintenance done regularly from the time of purchase (I cant account for what the previous owner did right?)
