ok everyone with a rb20 read this

Big news. the ka transmission parts will not fit the rb20 transmission. the syncros are all wrong and so are the gears. the ka transmission uses way smaller syncros and gears then the 20. so i am wondering if the 300zx transmission syncros and gears will work. like they say they will with the 25. if anyone thinks i am crazy or dose know what parts will fit let the rb20 family know. Also we need to know the flywheel step. i think it is .008 but i don't know if i am correct.

a de transmission dose it make a difference.

BTW the GEARS are the same but the syncro rings are a different size. the gears for both the ka and the 20 are (26 teeth main shaft) and (28 teeth counter shaft).so they are the same.

NOT REALLY I JUST WANTED TO FIND OUT.... I HAVE BOTH A KA24E AND A RB20DET transmission APART I SWAPPED THE FRONT CASES BETWEEN THE TWO AND THEY WORK FINE. THE KA AND RB GEARS ARE THE SAME BUT THE REST IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT.... YOU WOULD HAVE TO ORDER INTERNALS IN OR HAVE THEM CUSTOM BUILT OUT OF KEVLAR OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.

the 24e transmission has the exact same bolt pattern and dimensions. i templated the housings. there is a dowel though that i am debating on as the template was done withing days of each other
