Assuming your "new car" warranty has expired;
DO NOT insert a "CD Lens Cleaner" disc... this will coat the lens with grease!!
Here is the "ideal" fix...
This isn't considered "normal," but it's not a terrible thing. Some of the lithium grease used to lubricate the mechanism has managed to drip onto one or more discs. The best way to handle this is to disassemble the stereo and try to gently wipe away some of the excess grease. I had to relube my entire mechanism due to a lack of lubrication, looks like yours is the other way around... if you're not mechanically inclined (with electronics), I suggest taking it to a small electronics shop, or take it to someone who once worked on VCRs, they will be able to take care of this. One thing you also need to be aware of; the felt piece the disc slides through may also have grease on it. This needs to be cleaned by gently swabbing it with a chamois "q-tip" dipped in rubbing alcohol to prevent more discs from getting coated.
OR
You can just keep cleaning your CDs periodically with alcohol, hopefully, the glob of grease is gone by now.
