ok there are all these "high mileage" oils, and synthetic, and regular, and all that junk. what do ya'll put in and what do you think is the best? my car has 115k miles. runs great.

i use castrol syntec, 3qts 10w30 and 1qt 10w40. dont ask me why that combonation though. only things is castrol syntecs about $5 a qt.

holy crap. 5 bucks a quart? jeez. thats one reason i wouldn't put synthetic in mine. hey, do you like your Hiper exhaust? thats what i want....how much you pay for it? where'd you get it from?

it is pretty expensive, about $25-30 to do an oil change, but my baby likes the finer things, shes one of those high maintnance types. i love my hiper exhaust, love the sound. i paid $250 for the universal 120mm muffler, didnt get the whole pipe, but i got custom piping from the resonator (which i also took out) back so it owuld have more of a straight flow and to give it that desired slant mounting. if you leave the resonator in it will be real deep until you hit about 3100 rpms, then it sounds like a stock exhaust, but if you take it out you hear it all the way through. it doesnt sound too loud or ricey, but its loud enough where you could hear it a block over if you step on it a little. its real deep though. its a good choice to go with. i got it at a performance shop in garland called jotech. you might have heard of it, its owned and ran by kenny tran. but you can get the full catback for around $500. let me know if your interested and ill find where you can get it online.

I use Mobil full synthetic 10W30. This too is like 4.25 a quart. What type of gear/differential oil do you use, my needs to be changed, and I don't know what grade to get. 75W90?? I want to get Red Line gear oil, because some of my gears grind a little at high RPMs and I heard this oil helps a little bit...

i haven't changed my transmission fluid lately. i have an auto, and i checked it the other day and it looked clean and i had enough. what do ya'll think about that high mileage oil? whats the diff? Slimmy240, if you could find some sites other than enjuku that sell that exhaust, that'd be cool. enjuku wants 450 i think. i'll prolly buy it from daunttless, cause he said he could match enjuku. so if enjuku is the cheapest place i find, then i'll get it from daunt. for the same as i would from enjuku.

I THINK MOST THE SITES I FOUND IT AT WERE FOR AROUND $500 AND UP. 240SX.ORG HAD A DEAL GOWIN, I THINK IT WAS AROUND 450-500 THOUGH. IM NOT REAL SURE. ILL TRY TO FIND THE SITES AND GET THEM TO YOU TOMORROW WHEN i think most the sites i found it at were for around $500 and up. 240sx.org had a deal goin for around 450-500 i think, im not real sure. ill try to get the sites to you tomorrow if i have more time. APEXi240, if your gears are grindin at high rpms it may be your transmission syncs. i know mine are goin out in 3rd and 5th, so they grind when im racing. transmission fuel might help, but if not its most likely the syncs.

aight thanks slimmy. i'm gonna keep looking around also. a friend of mine's dad owns a performance store here in town. he said something about gettin my stuff AT PRICE. i was like SWEEEET. but i somehow doubt that will happen. at least i'll get a discount tho (i hope). i don't know, we'll see what happens after i get the money for it.
