I've set up the engine so that it can sit as low and far back in the bay without doing a lot of modification to the steering and firewall while allowing a bit of wiggle room. In order for the steering to clear lock-to-lock, I either need to cut or massage the rear passenger-side corner of the oilpan. Would this modification hamper the windage tray/baffle s considerable amount, enough to warrant another plan? It wouldn't be moved, but the casing would be much closer to the tray. Any input is appreciated. :)

How much denting of the oil pan are we talking about? If it's just an inch, I wouldn't worry about it. The sump is in the front of the oil anyway, and as long as the denting doesn't look like it would inhibit the flow of oil draning back into the sump area, I don't see why it would be a problem.

Yes, less than an inch. Didn't seem like a concern, yet I continued to pass over it time and time again :D

So you modified the motor mount to get the motor farther back. That sounds sweet weight balance is where its at. I would love more info on this.
