This is my first import car and I`m worried about it`s use of oil. At 3500 miles it had used a quart of oil and I find that disturbing, a brand new car should not use a quart of oil in the first 3500 miles. The Service Manager tried to tell me that the motor is breaking in, that I don`t buy. I checked it again after 500 more miles (after the 1st oil change) and it used another 1/4 qt. At that rate, how much is it going to be using after 30,000 miles?

I have an 06 Sedan 6sp that used 1000 mi per quart when new. By 21k miles i was getting 2000 mi per qt. I had to add 1/2 qt yesterday after 2336 miles. Keep in mind the L level on the dipstick is 2 qts low. Check your oil weekly

I had this issue and had my engine replaced twice, it seems this time it actually fixed the issue.
