I have been searching for oil hose. I like OEM, but I don't like OEM prices. I know there has to be a cheaper alternative. I need to replace various lines on various vehicles, and need hoses up to 5/8" - high pressure high temperature petroleum grade hoses that won't soften like heater hose.

ATP has oil hose, but they don't say what length they sell. This is the only 5/8" oil hose I have found so far. Everything else is 1/2" at largest.

Does anyone else know of a place I can buy various sized oil hose like this?

Yes I have searched already... I came up with ATP that way. This is not a commonly discussed topic evidently.

Thanks

I'm not sure. I'll do some research too.. I need some oil/coolant hose in the 5/8" range for my power steering reservoir that I relocated. The heater hose I'm using is sweating fluid and it's bugging me.

Okay, I found a bunch of sites with high grade hydraulic hoses that sell by the foot.

http://www.parker.com/EAD/disp...tails

http://www.jgbhose.com/Data_Re...+Hose

http://www.hosexpress.com/hydraulic/GH194.htm

http://www.atpturbo.com/Mercha...-OIL1

http://perma-cool.com/Catalog/Cat_page36.html

http://www.dansperformancepart...3.htm

etc, etc, etc

I think I'll be buying the Gates C5C hose. Maybe bit overkill, but who cares! It seems like a good choice. It costs like $5.50/ft. I'm gonna price a few others. These industrial sites make you get price quotes on everything, there are no prices supplied on the websites. I don't know why it's such a secret.

Some of those industrial hydraulic hoses are rediculously strong! They could probably use it to lift my car off the ground.

Yeah be careful with some of that industrial stuff. My buddy has some down at the local parts shop, but it's steel reinforced and has to have ends pressed on.. You couldn't clamp it with any sort of clamp I don't think.I saw that stuff on ATP Turbo's site and I'll probably be getting that stuff.. Or buying a -10 or -12 AN run of Summits new Twist Tight hose. I have it in -6 for my fuel lines, and it looks like good stuff. 10 feet for like 44$ though. We'd have to find someone who needs some and split it and ship it.

Thanks for the heads up about the ends. When I requested a quote they asked what type of ends I wanted.

Damn it, I guess I'll have to buy something a little less heavy duty.
