i got an sr in my car a little while ago. well i was driving down the high way with my brother showing him my new upgrade. so i was going and got up to about 85 five. then my motor just started knocking so i pulled off and turned the car off . i had my shop come pick it up and they said it was the crank bearing. i was just think could it of had something to with the oil that was in the car. so i want to know what kinds of oil you guys run weight and type. thanks guys

i run 15w50 for warm weather and 10w30 for winter. I highly doubt it was the type of oil you used, the motor probably had some form of knock and was sidelined for that in japan.

I seem to have to remind a lot of people that SRs are junkyard motors and you have to expect there to be mechanical problems because of that. Not every 180sx and Silvia was sidelined from a wreck.
