When I was at McKinney's, I was told I need to cover up one of the openings on the right valve cover. It's near the back, on the right side of the U-Shaped tubing. What is that, and why doesn't the Mine's Skyline keep it covered or tubed to a catch-pan?

that is covered. there is a spring clamp on a small rubber plug cover.

and the other side is tubed to a catch can.

that crossover tube connects the 2 valve covers. you can effectively run 1 tube to a catch can if you so chose to.

and YES you need to cover it.

Ok, now I'm just spamming. I need to learn to get these thoughts and questions out in one post.

Do you know where I could acquire a plug like that? Right now the left opening is being tubed back into the head, and the right is open.

I have no clue to be honest. Assume I know absolutely nothing about this motor, because I don't really.

You don't want the crap that gets caught in your catch can to be drained back into the oil pan even if it WOULD work. You can't have a drain line from the catch can to the oil pan or the crankcase will pressurize (the way Mine's has it plumbed there).

ok cool that makes sense. I'm going to cap of the right opening and leave the left one routed as-is.
