hi i have a 97 240sx and am installing a turbo kit and was wondering what size is the bolt on the oil sending unit? i need to find out what size it is so i can tap into a oil source.i need to tap into the block where the oil sending unit gets unscrewed and need to hook up a loine there. what size is it i tryed 1/8th but it doesnt thread.

the sending unit itself is actually a special socket pattern but a 27mm 6point deep socket works well on it. I dont believe a 1 1/8 inch socket will work.

im talking about the actuall threaded part that goes into the enine blick not the head that you use to unscreww it

oh...sorry...It is a pipe thread [tapered] not sure on the size believe it is 8x1.0 most 8mm bolts have a 1.25 thread but I believe it is a tighten thread onit for sealing purposes. I seen a thread were our sentra master EZCheeze posted an adapter for that port that has a t off it to attach the sender and a line. search the technical forum for sentra it was a recent post. All the nisan senders are the same thread.
