I know this has been talked about over and over, oil gets cought in the head + lack of oil in pan = bad situation. But, besides all the second hand what you should and shouldn't do, Anyone have any expert advice on this? Or Pruven information weather or not this is a good idea? I mean I know the engineers at nissan are no morons and that they designed this motor for "great" things that they would relize that too much oil was going in to the head.

i dont think the nissan engineers thought that people would be revving the motor to 9 on a track day in and day out...hence the issues.just slap in a restrictor if you are worried about it but its primarly intended for high rev cars.

what type of situation would this put the motor in by changing the amout of oil that is getting to the head?

I guess thinking about it for a sec, at high rev's the pump @ 95-100 percent should be enough I guess

BTW, just an fyi...I am doing a 1.5mm Tomei restrictor, opening up the oil passages from the head and into the block, and putting a return line from the back of the head to the pan. I wil be running the N1 pump most likely.
