ok so i bought this oil restrictor for my ebay t3 turbo.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...h=004

And after i got my setup going i noticed that i was getting absolutely 0 boost so i investigateda few things like wastegate vacuum blown off piping etc... And then finaly i took my intake pipe off to notice my turbing was completely seized!!!!! I was extremely mad at this point pissed off that i had bought an ebay turbo and it took a **** on me!.

But then i remember that i put the oil restrictor which i had read on here and other forums that was highly recommended with these turbos, so i pull off the oil line feeding the turbo and realized i was getting almost no oil to the turbo at start up and very very little at all!!! That is what seized my turbo for sure.

So i took off the restrictor and threw on the same turbo my friend had and ran it without the restrictor and it seems to be working just fine except for i've got an ecu tune issue with emance that's being worked out right now. but at least now i'm making boost.

Then last night i took off the housing on the turbo and got the turbine free'd up. So now i'm just kind of wondering if theres still possibly any hope for this turbo since i freed it up and it still has no shaft play or anything like that and it now spins freely. I know it's unlikely that it will still work but i figure i'd ask and see if anyone had a similar issue. I assume runhing with such little oil ****ed the bearings up pretty good?

I run the jgs restrictor .063 which is a 1\8 inch on my garret turbo no issues for 10,000 miles on a motor with 170,00 miles on it now @ 12 lbs of boost , I would say that you have a piece of trash in your oil feed line. it wouldn't take a very big piece of any thing to block a 1\8 inch hole !!!! try flushing out your oil feed line, cean out your restrictor put it back together and see if it flows good then. if not then you could have a weak oil pump. good luck !!!!

Many people run the restrictors with no problems at all.

+1 on a stoped up feed line.
