oil restrictor on a t25

i was going to post this in the sr20 section, but it could apply to anyone running a t25 (or other journal bearing turbo). i'm in the process of installing cs turbo lines and i don't have the fitting for the oil line where it goes to the turbo itself. This is typically where the oil restrictor goes and since i'm still t25 i know i don't need one, but i haven't been able to find any fitting to go in there besides a restrictor. So my question is, can i use an oil restrictor with my t25 or will that cause any problems? thanks for any help

Your CS lines should have come with the regular fitting into the turbo. You can buy a restrictor fitting, but it is unnecessary. You use the stock banjo bolt to block, which has a restrictor hole in it. Check my thread I did a few months aog for T28 upgrade with CS lines.

yeah i bought the lines used and they didn't come with that fitting. i woudl just run unrestricted, but i can't find a fitting anywhere that works. a few people said its 1/8 npt but i tried a fitting of that size and it doesn't fit at all

Well, if you have no fitting at all, you could get a regular fitting, or a restrictor one. Check out askme4parts on ebay, he had those a few months ago.

yeah i would just buy one, but i'd rather find out the thread size and buy one locally so i don't have to wait on shipping and whatnot
