Does the -3AN REALLY need a restrictor??? I would think with the proper oil return it would be fine.

For turbonetics t3/4 and T4 (like yours), oil specs are a -3AN inlet and 1/2" drain tube. If you have some oddball turbo, call the company and ask what they need.-Jeff

lol yeah its funny, I see people all the time with -3AN lines using .06" restrictors. Guess what guys, -3AN = 1/16" = .06"! If you have a bigger line than -3 then yeah I can see it though.

As far as if that thing would work, I suppose it would but why? There are restrictors out there for like 2 bucks and then you dont have to ever worry about metal shavings or uneven flow etc etc.

Well thats my problem i have a straight t4 and it uses 1/4" threaded ends and my hose ID is 1/4" i have it converted at the block from the 1/8 to a 1/4 will that be enough of a restriction or do i need the 1/16" restrictor?

-3AN = 3/16", not 1/16". AN thread numbers are in 1/16" and describe outer diameter of male fitting. For a given size AN fitting, its inner diameter and hose inner diameter vary among manufactures.

Yikes youre right! Argh sorry I dont know what I was thinking.

...*cough* well yea.. pretty sure you dont need a restrictor for the JGS Turbo oil feed line that most people use here. The fitting for that line is -4AN but the line itself is -3AN (or the equilivant, which is 3/16"). ...Thats what I was trying to get across anyways..
