oil resistor

ya sorry i should have posted this with my other post but- i got an rb26dett and i just received my oil resistor from tomei and well one how do i install it? just use a rubber mallet and tap it in? second-do i remove the old resistor or do i install this one on top of the old one? if i have to remove the old one, how do i do that? thanks

Basically to install it u can use a rubber mallet and just tap it in on top of the Oil restrictor that is already in there. Some people remove them but you dont have to.

I would be careful using a rubber mallet to install them as there is a possiblity that you could get some rubber suck in the orifice. I used a large pin punch and a small ball peen hammer, just be gentle and take your time.

sledge hammer did the trick for me....

Just use a punch that is roughly the same size as the orifice and tap her in.
