Where can I get some? The auto part store where i live does NOT carry it...bunch of SOB's.

Would the type of hose that people use for oil catch cans work? You know, the reinforced clear type? I want to use it to replace the hose that goes from the back of the intake valve cover down to to the hard pipe, and where the hard pipe connects via hose to the 90* to the oil filter housing.

I used 5/8" heater hose on mine.

Been like that for 2 years now without a single issue.

Try Lowes. I always get hose from there, just look and find the size you need and make sure it is able to be around heat, oil and stuff. It will say right next or under where the hoses is what it can be used for. Hope this helps you out.

the small portoin i showed in the pic above i'll probably keep like that, since my old hose was cracked and leaking and there wasn't much seepage from it. Im sure that'll hold up fine..

for the lower portion, im gonna check Home Depot/Lowes and see what I find..if nothing turns up, i'll either use the reinforced "catch can" style hose or just run heater hose..

well the best Home Depot/Lowes had was dishwasher hose. Carquest had fuel line hose, and Advance/Autozone had heater hose. I'm feelin SOL right now.

btw, I just noticed everyone is telling me abt the small diameter pipe. I'm looking for a new hose for the lower portion of this pipe. where it is around 3/4" in diameter..

so Fuel hose or Heater hose for this? Would the dealership have oil resistant hose? lol

I have a 4' long piece of Samco hose I bought for that section that I don't need all of. Do you want to buy some of mine? I'd give it to you, but that hose cost me a bundle.

Yea, I got it. I need to get to where the car is at and measure it. It should be the size you need though since it's on my motor right now.

+ 1....Hydraulic and Hose shop will have oil proof hose...just look in your local yellow pages. Using heater hose will work for a while, eventually oil will start "sweating" through

have you tried ace hardware? not sure if they have any stores in your area... but they sell fuel lines there that you can use to replace your lines. i had got some to replace a coolant line that blew on me... it was horrible... i got stuck at the park for hours...

but so far so good, i haven't had any problems. plus, if it can hold fuel, i'm sure it'll do fine with oil.

i just threw a piece of 3/4" heater hose on it and called it good. some of you have been using it without ill effects for awhile and im sure i'll be taking the engine out within the next two years to change the clutch anyway (way easier to pull it than lay on the ground IMO)

Thanks for all the help.

I used heater hose on my oil return, it last 4 months. Bring in the proper s*** ASAP, its not worth it possibly f***in the motor.

The turbo oil return line sees WAY more oil than the line on the oil filter mount does. Most of what goes through that hose is crankcase gasses. There is some oil in there, but I rocked a heater hose on there for years w/o too much issue. It DID seep through, but nothing horrible.

I mind as well throw my experience with the heater hose I used. The hose soaked through and collapsed on itself and looked like it was really preventing flow. I now am going to use a silicone hose in that spot.

I too have had similar experiences with heater hoses on the turbo drain back in the day. Even saw a guy at the track with his completely melted through!

I've used Silicone on the turbo drain for a few seasons now and even though it does get soaked through with oil it does the job effectively and is never a pain in the a** to pull off the hosebarb. Goodyear Flexfab is tha $!@#.

I'm trying Aeroquip oil resistant hose on my new setup this season. 5/8" ID rated at 150*C (P# FC332-10). Can be bent in a pretty tight radius without kinking!
