So I just bought a 2003 350z with 75,000 miles on it. I want to do a oil change but I'm not sure what oil is in it synthetic or conventional. I want to run a full synthetic. What should I do? I heard switch from conventional to synthetic at a high millage (60k)can cause leaks.

Welcome to NICO! Just a heads up, I've deleted your duplicate post. It's best to keep your thread in just one area to avoid confusion.

As for the oil, since your changing it, what's currently in your engine is irrelevant. I'm not familiar with the claims of leaks when switching to synthetic, but I'd suggest a synthetic blend designed for high mileage.

Early Mobil One used to seep through gaskets. However, our engines use RTV as sealants instead of paper gaskets.

Synthetic oil is specified for you car, use it.

At one time there was a significant difference between the premium synthetics, ie Royal Purple, and others. Today, not so much, Mobil 1 purity, etc, is very close.
