Oil pump what is everyone else doing?

Dam oil pumps are expensive!! I just wondering what everybody is doing? Is there such a thing as a performance oil pump or a way to increase the pressure on the stock oil pump?

Replace with a new one

Rebuild the old one

just have it checked

Stock here as well...~100,000 miles, seems to do fine pushing 10w30 Mobil 1.

For more pressure you can shim your stock pump...how, I dunno...having never done it. But I've heard of it being done.

Very easy process:Unscrew the bolt next to the oil sump. Put two - three washer between the bolt and the spring.Screw the bolt back and that's it. Now the sping is compressed more making more pressure.

http://www.importperfomanceparts.net they have toga high volume oil pumps for the KA but i believe theyre on back order...

I'm going to run an oil pump from an L28 turbo. (280z. it's a higher volume pump than the stock SOHC Ka oil pump)
