Had it in once, forgot the gasket, and now i can't get it back in. The haynes book says #1 piston should be at TDC so i set it to TDC, and it still wont go in all the way, there is about a .5" gap.

Any trick or tip on getting it back in would be helpful.

turns out the teeth on the dizzy are out of wack so that's why they wouldn't mate up.

so i have to buy a new dizzy, might as well get new oil pump/drive spindle while i'm at it.

anybody know of a good place to obtain these items??

I really am not looking to spend 200+ on a dizzy.

hahaha yeah that's where i was searching. I found the drive spindle for like 20 bucks, but still no luck with dizzy.

Might just have to drop a couple hundo on a new one. At least i will know it i will work.
