i ordered the gears to rebuild my oil pump from heavythrottle and they should be arriving in a few days. then i thought about gaskets and such. what gaskets/seals do i need to replace if any? i searched but came up empty. all i found was suggestion to replace the entire front cover. nothing really on rebuilding.

You will need to re-liquid gasket the oil pump back on. And you will also need a new front main seal, use the Sentra SR20DE part fot that.

speed doesn't mean to use LG on the pump cover itself, but instead the front timing cover.

And it's been my experience in the past when you pull the front cover, you should consider pulling the whole lower pan. When you break the seal of the front cover, you can't just put it back in. There will forever be a small break in the gasket which will cause leaks.
