Oil Pump Question

Probably a common question but I searched and didn't find anything. Will a SR20DE (SE-R/G20) oil pump work on an SR20DET(Redtop)? Also does anyone know if a transmission seal kit for an KA24DE will work for an S13 SR trans.?

there are lots of similarities but oil orfice is smaller and also the timing indicator needle is obviously not in the same spot.

I know a guy that ran it in his SR but he ended up grenading that block. One of his rod snapped and blew out the block. But I think this was due to him not tightening down the rod caps correctly.
