Oil Pump Leaking?

I just cleaned my Oil pump and when I plug one of the two holes and blow into the other, air escapes from around the center bearing.
Is this normal or is the Oil pump supposed to be completely air-tight?

I'm not 100% on this, but my gut tells me you shouldn't have anything leaking around the bearing.
