Oil pump install help for newbe

Just did an oil pump install on a '90 SOHC.Timing needs advanced one tooth.
Can I just pull distribitor and advance it? Or do I have to do the oil pump again?

Gotta pull the oil pump and rotate the shaft one tooth.

Dont fully bolt the pump in, install it, 1 bolt, check position. Redo if necessary.

Thanks..I got it last night...Now my oil pan is leaking...
