Oil Pressure

Hey guys, my oil pressure gauge reads around 25-20 the entire time unless i'm "on it" and then it drops to zero. this cant' be a good thing, but i also realize that guages sometimes falter. there is no knock or ping in the engine, so i have to believe oil is circulating well. Wanted your opinions on where the gauge 'should' read.Thanks!

low at idle then around 60 an hard throttle. Get an oil pressure gauge on it and see what its really doing. If the pressures are ok I would guess the sender is the fault.

Good call. I will have to take it to a shop and have them check it out. I will also have them look at the oil temp sensor as it never budges from 160. Which, again, may be a good thing, maybe not. This car has a TON of options and upgrades that I have to believe weren't usual in 1985. It will take me some time to get used to all them!Thanks!
