Just wondering if anyone knows if the oil pressure gauges usually go bad in a 90 n/a and if so how to fix them. With mine when I accelerate the pressure gauge goes down sometimes and i am almost positive the pressure is fine. but at idle it is normal so maybe its something with wiring or maybe something is wrong with the unit it self any thoughts? thanks

Tho oil pressure sending unit has been problematic, I have found the aftermarket ones not much better, the OEM work best.

replacing it is easy as replacing an oil filter, it screws out and the new one screws back in it's place, as for price check out some of the vendors.

Ok cool, and where is the part? Is it in the oil pan? And what is the name of the part that I should try replacing?

no, it is not in the oil pan. it is located right next to the oil filter, a gold cylinder about 1 inch in diameter. it is called the oil pressure sending unit. oem is about $80. it screws in right next to the oil filter. change it out eith your next oil change.
