oil pressure switch im geussing?

the sensor right off the oil filter location on a s14 black top . i have only 1 wire coming off of it if for some reason that wire snapped would it throw any codes or do anything bad? as in send bad info to the comp or anything cause the insulation is broke around it so all it has to do is the wires snap and thats all and im sorda sketchy

im pretty sure the oil pressure switch is normally open, so if the sensor is not connected you will never see any codes, but if oil pressure drops you also will never see the oil light come on

mutiny is right, if you ground out that wire your oil pressure light will come on

you should have a pressure gauge anyway
