I have a 98 240sx and I installed my feed line today. I was looking at how I am going to install my oil press. gauge and dont know how i would tee it off. Does anyone run theres without the oil press. sensor in theirs? If so how did you get the light to turn off. Doesnt seem to smart to put another tee on the the existing setup I have( the setup from mcmaster). I searched but cant seem to find a straight answer.

You can run with out the sensor. The light won't be on because it doesn't have a ground if it is not in place.

Do like I did and buy the oil sandwich adaptor from SPL and you get 3 holes to tee of from and you get to keep the factory oil pressure switch. I like the set up because now I don't have to drill the oil pan when I get a oil temp gauge.

I believe it is for the oil temp gauge, or nothing if you never use it.

You still need the adaptors from McMAster because the sensor is npt and the sandwich plate are both BSPT

Wait a minute...So if I leave my oil pressure sensor disconnected the light won't come on? Because I got a gauge to monitor my pressure. So if I just leave the sensor disconnected then no light?

Yes sir, No switch no light, The switch works by grounding the circuit when OP is low. If you disconnect the wire it can't ground the circuit. IF you still have the switch installed I would keep it plugged in it doesn't hurt to have back up whe it comes to oil pressure.

Your aftermarket Oil Press. Gauge is not BSPT though. Thats why you need the adaptor.
