oil pressure sending unit

i'm installing a auto meter electric oil pressure gauge, is there a way to eliminate the stock unit and wire it to in with the auto meter unit?

Nope. Stock unit sends an On/Off signal to the ECU saying that there is incredibly low oil pressure. The autometer sending unit is a resistor that tells pressure from 1-100.

If you want to keep your idiot light you need to remote mount it with an T fitting from your block. If you screw the idiot light directly into the oil T, its possible(likely) that it will snap off and drain all your oil.

I completly removed mine and I have no lights on or any thing. I used the space to fit the oil pressure sensor for my gauge. the instructions that came with your gauge should tell you what needs to be done so there are no lights or anything like that.

if you use the T just make sure that the aftermarket sender is installed in the center pointing down.. and or it will snap.

That would be nice !!! I alreeady have my stock unit teed in wth the jgs oil feed kit and no break yet but it just seems like a lot of teeing in to have both units there. I guess my main concern is that the idiot lite doesn't stay on. if all else fails i'll just take the bulb out of the dash lol. thanks for you help.
