ok guys im using an adapter plate between the oil filter and the block for my oil pressure gauge sending unit, im using a stewart warner electrical gauge and i hooked it up as per instructions. when the car warms up the oil pressure stays at about a needles width under 40psi and when i rev it it climbs to over 80psi? is this normal???

i have s2 rb25det and i checked the oil level and its correct and im using 10w30 mobile 1 synthetic?

is this normal munbers???

1.8 bar= 26.1 psi

8 bar= 116 psi

but im getting about 40 psi at idle when at normal temp thats a bit higher than 26.1

maybee im just paranoid but it seems a little off to me

40 at idle is a bit high. are you sure your oil is completely up to temp? it should be around 20-25 psi range when the oil is hot and idling. 80 psi sounds about right high rpm
