When my negative battery terminal connection came loose, my Oil Pressure light came on. But I still drove the care as I was stranded, and as I suspected, nothing happened. So, I think it most likely that the disconnect/connect injured the sensor.

I purchased a new sensor and wish to install, but after some work, I do not know where it is on the engine. Can you advise and give direction as to how to find and how to dismantle which parts to replace?

Thank you very much for any help.

The sensor is just a simple switch which completes the circuit when oil pressure falls below 2-4 psi...........one terminal that grounds [light] thru engine block when pressure falls.

Measure your oil pressure with a gauge prior to ruling out switch.

This is a job for Infiniti Tech.......hard to get to oil switch.

We see lots of low oil pressure Q but few [never] switch failures as you describe? They frequently leak [dribble oil].

Sludge or failure to properly tighten front crankshaft pulley after seal replacement are the usual 94-96 oil light culprits.

Just curious how you drove the car with no ground to battery? That would be a first reported here!

Anyway, welcome to the club. You should serach and read the post about the oil pressure sender as it uses an uncommon exotic thread pitch.
