OIL PRESSURE easy come easy go
I ask you a few days ago about the oil light comming on , so i took your advice and left the car in the yard and installed a oil pressure gauge in place of electric also replaced oil pump before replacing oil pump my pressure starting was around 70lbs.started the car 3 times after about 15 mins the pressure was 25 and would not go past 45 on raising rpms. Ended up leaking dowmn to 0 not good car is not getting hot at all and not even using any fans. Changed oil pump man did have good pressure went up to 80 on start ended up staying around 25 lbs but would go to 60 everytime on rpms being raised the care now seems fine ran for good 30 mins so i decide to rd test as soon as i put it onthe rd the pessure drops down to 0 like nothing flat , a friend said it might be not using nissan oil filter dont think so i have read two other links one saying could be head gasket backwards are hairline crack but compressin is in high 160s another one had 3 loose head bolts , Mine is also gurgling as he said in his article is it tme to pull the head are could vaccum on exhaust be a part of it. I really do appreciate this site and some of the 240 proffessors . this car is from aprevious owner can you please give me some idea where i can begin dont mine where will do it myself . thankyou pete

Took your advise and installed oil pressure gauge started checking pressure first time it went up to about 60lbs turned it off started again went to 45lbs but would not go higher from reving eng. eventually leaked down to 0. installed new oil pump pressure was around 75 eventually smooth down to 25lbs when reving eng it would go up to60lbs and stay the eng had been running about 30 mins didnt get hot at any time decided to put on rd as soon as i took off pressure went to 0 and stayed also hear a gurgling sound in radiator . please tell me its not my oil filter
I am failing to see the connection between the radiator gurgling and your oil filter? It sounds as if your pump resolved your problem only breifly. meaning the supply was the problem and nothing in the engine was causing the loss of pressure. Is it leaking somewhere? Have you checked your coolant to see if it is contaminated with oil?
