I corrected your thread title cause it looked ridicules.

Welcome to NICO.

And to answer your question, you will be fine with both. With the response times on Autometer gauges these days there relay is no difference.

I have mechanical gauges and they are neat and all just make sure you hook up everything right the first time LOL. I was driving along one day and it was really cold out and my left leg was getting really warm and since I don't have heat I was like WTF? I looked down and my leg was covered in oil LOL. They function equally, just one is less messy when things mess up.

lol.. that's why i don't like mechanical gauges.

Nothing worse then spraying hot oil/water all over yourself.

If you want electrical though ravspeconline.com (one of our sponsors) sells stri racing gauges. Pretty nice defi-like look to them and the x-line is cheap!

Now that’s scary... how common of a problem is it to have a mechanical oil (etc) pressure gauge leak, releasing oil in the cabin. It would suck the biggest to get hot oil squirted in the eye, or at minimum having to clean oil out of carpet\upholstery, you got me worried. Is this a just make sure its tight thing or do a certain percent just fail?

....what about fuel?

I botched a mechanical oil pressure gauge and hooked it up to my fuel rail. I was trying to debunk a fuel problem. I had it on the hood like a normal person. But I couldn't see it, so I put it inside the cabin. Not the smartest thing I've done. Especially since it was there for almost a month.

He put it in the cabin so he could inhale the fumes.

Make sure to do it right the first time. After I got my mechanicals hooked up right, they worked beautifully.
