I have a 91 KA-T at least 80,000 miles on it (no sure the real amount). I was driving it the other day and when I went to start it up I had no oil pressure, I didn't realize it until I had pulled out of my driveway so I turned around quick and pulled in my driveway but before I shut it off my oil pressure kicked on. I let it sit a day, then started it up and had oil, drove it a little while, shut the car off. When I started it back up no pressure. I let it sit a day then started it up and it had pressure. Did the same thing though. I decided that when the car is still warm it won't have pressure when I start it up, but I am not sure if my pump is going bad or if it could just be a clogged filter. I would appreciate any help or suggestions. Thank you

Besides checking the oil pump and filter you should also probably check the oil pressure sensor and its connections. If I were you, I'd replace the filter and clean the pressure sensor's connection and try it out. If the problem persists, try replacing the sensor with one that you know works (borrow it from a friend, save some $$$). If the problem doesn't go away move on to checking the oil pump. Good Luck!

Had a similiar issue last spring which ended up bad, check what was already stated if that doesn't fix it drop the pan and check your oil pressure relief valve, they can stick which will result in no oil pressure and spun bearings.
