hey everyone i just joined the forum so idk if this is a noob question but i need to replace my oilpan gasket and i wanna clean up my oilpan so its not so dirty cuz the oils like a hundred years old haha but can i take out the oilpan without having to lift the motor or do i have to lift it a lil to clear the subframe?? any feedback helps thanks

see oil pan tutorial in tutorial link in my signature. the tutorial is for dohc. ths sohc is different.

your welcome. i heard someone mention using a cork gasket instead of silicone. maybe you could cut it to put around the pickup. you'd still have to at least clean oil off the joint. not that i know much about it.

yea i was gonna pick one up but every store i called said they didnt have any in stock and couldnt order them cuz they werent even listed... so i used the silicone. plus there was all kinds of metal s*** in there so it was good to clean out.
