oil pan ?

i got my oil pan yesterday but no gasket, is the sr one the same as any usdm nissans that i could get, or does anyone know where i can get one

it's liquid gasket, you squeeze it out of a tube.

yea, that's how NISSAN did it from the factory, blue gasket Nissan part number 0002 (at least that's the joke around here) Zip Ties are P/N 0001

good stuff, my bimmer one was an actual gasket, so i thought id ask, ill be sure to get those parts, according to the official number of course, thank you gentlemen

DO NOT APPLY TOO MUCH!! I had to replace my oilpan when I got my engine (previous owner cut and rewelded it to keep oil directly under the sump, but lowered the amount of oil it could hold by about 3/4 of a quart) and when I got it off, I discovered large chunks of liquid gasket on the screen of the oil pickup. Use just enough that it's not going to ooze all over the inside of your block.

I use Zep Red or black for most everything, and just apply enough to make a strong seal. You're better off with a smaller bead that is doubled over and smeared all over your contact surface than one big fat one that will just ooze all over.
