This shouldn't be in the SR section. Its not an engine related question really. But if you're really worried, why not get the PBM oil pan protector? Its somewhere on their site.

Just be smart about driving your car. Avoid big speed bumps if possible and take it slow going up steep driveways. As low as our cars are, if there's a high enough bump, it's going to hit. Know where you're driving and just be smart about it.

The oil pan doesn't hang down that far. You'll scrape the crossmember before you scrape the oil pan. And he had a pretty good reason to post this up in the SR section, Idaho. I would expect a quicker response to what he was asking here than in Suspension. If he had been asking about bump stops, then the thread would get moved

With that said, a 1.5" drop is well within the safety realm of lowering. If you want to go lower, you should do some reading up on Nissan suspension geometry and post in the suspension forums.
